Emergency Radiologist

The Department of Radiology at Virginia Commonwealth University, Medical College of Virginia is currently seeking applicants for two full-time faculty positions in the Section of Emergency Radiology to cover the 11p to 8a shift and
occasional 3-11p shift. The applicant must have experience in all facets of Emergency Radiology including radiography, CT, US, & MR.

The section is an active clinical and academic service responsible for all aspects of Emergency Radiology at our 822 bed hospital with a Level 1 Trauma Center.  The applicants would join four other emergency radiologists. Emergency Department imaging equipment includes two CT scanners (one Siemens Definition Flash, one Siemens AS+), a newly-installed, state-of-the-art
1.5T MR located adjacent to the ED, multiple sonography units, and five digital radiography units. 24/7 in-house technologists are available for the performance of examinations on all modalities. 

ABR certification or documentation of passing the Core Component of the ABR Board examination, Emergency Radiology fellowship or experience in Emergency Radiology in a trauma center, and an interest in teaching is required.
Applicants must demonstrate experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU. Candidates must be eligible for a Virginia medical license and for permanent employment in the USA. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.
