Clinician Educator Gastroenterology

The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting a faculty member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.  The Candidate must be board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, with specific expertise in the diagnosis and management of nutrition disorders, with emphasis in malnutrition and obesity.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide clinical services in the gastroenterology clinics at VCUHS, including both clinics on the MCVH campus and in the gastroenterology outreach locations
  • Participate in the inpatient management of patients with GI conditions
  • Participate in attending on the Digestive Health Service at VCUHS; perform diagnostic endoscopic procedures
  • Provide teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows in the management of patients with GI conditions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BC/BE eligible in Gastroenterology, with specific expertise in the diagnosis and management of nutrition disorders, with emphasis in malnutrition and obesity
  • Must be facile with diagnostic endoscopy
  • Current license or the ability to obtain a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia
