Pediatric Nephrologist - F65030
The Children’s Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University has committed itselfto transforming the Pediatric Nephrology Division into a model academic unit devoted toexcellence in clinical care, teaching, and clinical, translational, and basic research. We areseeking a full-time pediatric nephrologist (non-tenure eligible) at the Assistant or AssociateProfessor level to join our team. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. Thedivision currently has 2.9 FTE faculty members, 2 nurse RN educators, a social worker, adietitian, and an administrative assistant. Included in the division is the section of PediatricRheumatology with an additional physician and RN devoted to Rheumatology. The division hasan active inpatient and outpatient presence with a busy end-stage renal disease programincluding dialysis and transplantation, as well as procedures including acute dialysis (PD, HD andCRRT) and renal biopsies. Additionally, the division has an active ACGME approved fellowshipprogram.
Applicants must be board certified in pediatrics and board certified/eligible in pediatricnephrology. A demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, andstudent environment, or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU, is required.
