Palliative Medicine Physician - Massey Cancer Center
The VCU School of Medicine Division of Hematology, Oncology and Palliative Care and MasseyCancer Center are seeking a Clinician Educator in palliative medicine to practice at our flagshipand satellite locations.
This position offers a competitive compensation and relocation packages It also providesopportunities for participation in palliative medicine clinical trials.
About the Division of Hematology, Oncology, and Palliative Care:As part of the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Medicine, Division ofHematology, Oncology and Palliative Care members contribute their expertise and experienceto our patent care, research and teaching missions A collaborative environment amongdivision faculty, and with other specialists from multiple disciplines, provides a comprehensiveapproach to patent care and physician training. The VCU Palliative Care Program is amultidisciplinary program with a focus on clinical care and active projects in education,research, and quality improvement regionally and nationally. In addition to training all levels ofinterdisciplinary trainees our program has a fellowship with 4 fellows per years. We staff aninpatient palliative care unit (PCU) with a growing number of admissions, an inpatientconsultative service, and an outpatient supportive care clinic with opportunities extending intothe community and telemedicine space.

- Board Certified or Board Eligible in internal medicine
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in palliative medicine
- Demonstrated ability in building referrals for palliative medicine
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staf, andstudent environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
