Outpatient Rehabilitation Psychologist - F64710

Immediate opening for an open rank, full-time, clinical rehabilitation/health psychologist to work in the Outpatient Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology Service, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Services at the NOW Clinic. VCU Health is the region's only Level 1 trauma center and has consistently been rated as the best hospital in the Richmond metro area. The neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology outpatient clinic provides assessment and counseling services for individuals with a wide range of neurological conditions, including TBI, stroke, epilepsy, dementia, and movement disorders.

This is an excellent career opportunity for a psychologist interested in working with patents having a wide range of neurological injuries and illnesses. The position requires a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology. The candidate must have a Virginia state license or be license-eligible, and the individual must possess experience with presurgical psychological evaluations and pain management, behavior management, and emotional adjustment to disability. The ideal candidate should also have experience with treatments of traumatic brain injury or acquired brain injury. Must have demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
