Acute Care Trauma Surgeon - M60248

The Department of Surgery at VCU Health is seeking a qualified faculty member to join the Division of Acute Care Surgical Services (Trauma, Emergency General Surgery, and Surgical Critical Care) at VCU Medical Center and affiliated campuses.

This position is a non-tenure eligible position on the collateral track. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience. Expectation to round at Level 1 Trauma Center, Emergency General Surgery Service in addition to Community Trauma and EGS care. The faculty member should have clinical interests that complement and expand existing expertise in the Division and community care. The faculty member will also support the division with teaching responsibilities at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Qualifications: Must be board certified or board eligible in General Surgery; Completion of a Fellowship in Trauma or Surgical Critical Care; Must have a commitment to laboratory and/or clinical research. Teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level preferred. A record of external funding or proposal submissions to obtain funding desired.
