Virginia Commonwealth University, Department of Psychiatry is recruiting for an ambulatory Psychiatrist position to begin as soon as possible.

The clinical services include:

  • Psychopharmacology and psychotherapy services in our outpatient clinic. The position will be responsible for clinical care as well as teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows. Our ambulatory clinic sees a diverse group of patients and works collaboratively with other hospital Departments and community organizations. This position will be assigned primarily at our Jackson Center location, which provides updated space, a patient-centric environment, and ample, convenient parking. Services may also be provided at other VCUHS ambulatory locations, both on-site and virtual.
  • Coverage on the inpatient unit during scheduled weekends and scheduled attending vacations.

Applicants should be a Virginia licensed or eligible, BC/BE psychiatrist with DEA licensure. Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so.
