Chief Purpose of this position: The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition is seeking full-time Hepatologist, that is board eligible/certified in Gastroenterology and Hepatology to provide clinical services in the Hepatology clinics at VCU Health System, to include both clinics on the Medical College of Virginia Hospital campus and in Hepatology outreach locations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Clinical - Provide clinical services in the hepatology clinics at VCUHS, to include both clinics on the MCVH campus and in outreach locations; participate in the inpatient management of patients with Liver conditions, perform diagnostic endoscopic procedures.Teaching - Provide teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows in the management of patients with Liver conditions.Research - The faculty will engage in research and develop interdisciplinary collaborations in support of the core mission.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hepatology
  • Experience in Hepatology research
  • Eligible for Virginia Medical Licensure
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
