Join VCU Health's Division of Surgical Oncology providing the mid-Atlantic's most advanced, patient-oriented, cost-effective and safe surgical oncology services. This position is ideal for those with clinical and research interests that complement and expand on existing expertise in the division. Clinical and research areas of particular interest should include treatment of benign and malignant soft tissue and endocrine diseases. This faculty member will support the current division's expanding efforts to provide excellent oncology surgical support to many of our current regional outreach programs, including Massey Cancer Center. The position will have teaching responsibilities in Surgical Oncology with an emphasis on general surgical oncology and participate in clinical or basic science research relevant to the expanding field of Surgical Oncology. Research in the field of cancer disparities, translational oncology, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, or cancer genomics preferred. A record of publication in journals or presentations at national meetings is expected. Develop interdisciplinary collaborations within VCU's Massey Cancer Center, Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology to achieve goals.

Requirements include Board Certification or Eligibility in General surgery, advanced training in surgical oncology, commitment to outcomes, clinical and/or basic science research, and demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.

A record of external funding or proposal submissions to obtain funding is a preferred qualification.
