Hourly Hospitalist, VCU Health Tappahannock
The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hospital Medicine, Virginia Commonwealth University, seeks a hospitalist physician for shift coverage our inpatient internal medicine service at VCU Tappahannock Hospital. Duties include: admitting and managing patients for a hospitalist-led inpatient service including an open intensive care unit, cross-covering patients on this service at night, and co-management of surgical patients.
Qualifications: Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, direct experience managing complex inpatients, competency in standard inpatient procedures, solid understanding of the hospitalist role and function, and demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse environment or commitment to do so.
