The Department of Family Medicine and Population Health at Virginia Commonwealth University is currently recruiting for a BC/BE family physician to be a founding Core Faculty member of a new Rural Training Track Family Medicine residency program in South Hill, Virginia.
As a core faculty member, you will be responsible for helping to build this program from the ground up! Core Faculty will be responsible for working with the Program Director, Associate Program Director, and other Faculty to design curriculum, develop the Primary Family Medicine Residency Clinics, and help develop relationships with the communities we serve, while developing a continuity panel and independent clinical practice that will be part of the residency group panel and residency clinical practice(s).

- Program Leadership
- Direct Patient Care
- Resident Teaching and Precepting
- Active participant in the Department’s research and scholarship programs
Required Qualifications
- Completed an accredited residency program in Family Medicine.
- BC/BE by the American Board of Family Medicine.
- Experience in providing direct patient care to undeserved populations across multiple settings.
- Willing and able to care for patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
