The Department of Neurology at Virginia Commonwealth University seeks a physician leader to serve asthe Director of the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit.

The Department of Neurology and SOM leadership have sought innovative approaches to position VCUas a recognized leader in the neurosciences. The new Director will have the opportunity to work closelywith leadership to achieve this shared goal. The position is open rank and track eligible.

Applicants should possess an MD/DO, completed residency training at an accredited institution, and beboard certified in Neurology. Completion of a Neurocritical Care fellowship and UCNS certification arerequired. An interest in education is essential, and participation in teaching programs for medicalstudents, neurology residents and fellows is expected. A history of scientific achievement and scholarlyproductivity is preferred. Rank is dependent upon qualifications and experience. Ability to work in ateam environment is essential.
