The Department of Radiology at Virginia Commonwealth University, Medical College of Virginia is currently inviting applications for a full-time Neuro radiologist. Current fellows are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate should have an interest and commitment to teaching residents and medical students. Expertisein most aspects of general neuro radiology is required. Teleradiologists provide coverage for overnight studies originating from the ED.

We are an 800+ bed, Level 1 Trauma Center, with a comprehensive cancer center, an active transplantation service, and extensive outpatient services at the downtown campus and in the surrounding localities. Thesection has excellent relationships with Neurology, Neurosurgery, ENT and Oncology. The entire radiology department has recently been renovated to includemodern reading rooms for all sub-specialties.

All locations offer state-of-the-art CT, MR, and radiography equipment. A new, 14-story Adult Outpatient Pavilion opened in December 2021 as well as a new, freestanding childrens hospital that opened in April 2023. Interest in teaching is a requirement to support our 36 residents and multiple fellows. The Departmentoffers research opportunities and participates in numerous ongoing interdisciplinary research projects with many departments.The successful candidate will have completed a Neuroradiology Fellowship and will have ABR certification or will have passed the Core Component of the ABR Board examination. The applicant must demonstrate experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do soas a faculty member at VCU. Candidate must be eligible for a Virginia medical license and for permanent employment in the USA. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.
