The Department of Family Medicine and Population Health at Virginia Commonwealth University is currently recruiting for a BC/BE family physician to be a founding Core Faculty member of a new Rural Training Track Family Medicine residency program in South Hill, Virginia. Experience working with medically underserved communities, and the ability to care for patients both in the inpatient and outpatient setting are required. Scope of practice including full-scope obstetrics, inpatient pediatrics, opioid use disorder/substance use disorder, transgender care, and procedural care preferred. This positions responsibilities will include program leadership, direct patient care, resident teaching, and precepting. The doctor in this position will be an active participant in the Departments research and scholarship programs.
